Meet Your Instructor
My name is Eric Dunn. Let me share the story of how I created the course Pronounce Like a Pro!
I am from the USA and a native English speaker. I started learning languages when I was about 22 years old, and since then, I have loved everything about languages! I learned to speak Arabic, Spanish, and Portuguese fluently. Later, I earned a Master’s degree in Languages and a Postgraduate Diploma from Cambridge University in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
After that, I traveled and worked around the world teaching English. I developed English training programs for a 5-star airline, the Abu Dhabi police, the largest university in the Middle East, and large call centers in the Philippines. I also trained English teachers to become a Cambridge certified English teacher.
Later, I worked with businesses, marketing teams, and HR departments. I helped with hiring for airlines, universities, and sales companies. From this experience, I saw how important good English skills are for careers and job opportunity. Strong English speaking is essential in many jobs: customer service, sales, law, tourism, hospitality, politics, healthcare, education and many many more! This is true not only in English-speaking countries but also all around the world.
All of this experience led me to create Pronounce Like a Pro. I wanted to put my years of learning into a simple, clear, and easy to access online course that anyone can use to make their lives better!
